BIOGRAPHY
Celebrated by the Boston Herald for his performance of the Sibelius violin concerto in Boston. Following this performance, violinist Hahnsol Kim made his debut in Alice Tully Hall with the Juilliard Orchestra in May 2014, as a result of winning the Juilliard Concerto Competition.
Born in New York, violinist Hahnsol Kim began his studies at the age of five. He graduated from the Yewon School and the Seoul Arts High School in Korea, where he studied with Ms. Hyunmi Kim. As a prizewinner of numerous competitions, Mr. Kim won First Prize at Osaka International Music Competition in 2007, Sixth Prize at the International Violin Competition Sion Valais in 2009. Recently, he won 3rd prize at 2017 Gisborne International Music Competition and 2nd prize and special prize for the best violinist of the competition in Salieri Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition as a member of Lorca Duo.
As a chamber musician, Mr.Kim has performed with great musicians such as Charles Neidich from whom he also worked with in Juilliard Chamberfest 2014.
Mr. Kim is graduate of The Juilliard School where he received both Bachelor and Master of Music degree.

Hahnsol Kim is currently a faculty member and the director of music at Long Island Conservatory.
